Fri-Maikah Fon is a children’s advocate and special education teacher. Fri-Maikah began working with children in marginalized communities such as students with disabilities in 2012. She came into the education world as a special education teacher in an urban charter school system in Washington, DC through the Teach For America program. After a few years, Fri-Maikah continued to work with young people as an inclusion and resource specialist. Fri-Maikah has also served as a behavior therapist with children on the autism spectrum. She taught in alternate specialized school in Montgomery County, MD prior to joining the Gwinnett County Public School system as a self-contained special education teacher. Fri-Maikah enjoys spending time with her two young children and husband. She is a lover of music and loves to travel!
